Redoing bad moves Rutherford has done since 2017

Description
Didn’t include brassard trade because at the time, it looked like a great deal for pit. On paper we acquired our best 3C since staal.

I didn’t remove the kessel Trade because I think kessel was as good as gone regardless.

I didn’t do anything crazy, just to show how bad some of the moves GMJR has made. This team is such a contender and much better than the current roaster both now, and in the future

    Additional Details:

Would’ve been a tough one but I think Pens would’ve been better off letting hornqvist walk as a UFA

      PIT
      1. Biega, Alex
      Additional Details:
Would’ve been a much better trade option. Sure Pearson had a rough year, but he’s a young top 9 forward who could easily score 20+ goals. No need to take back a stinker contract like Gubranson.

      VAN
So much better than tanev. This guy could score 20 on pit. Also plays a physical game. Tanev signing was so brutal.

Like I keep repeating I really hope you’re right lol. If he’s even half as good as Kunitz I’d be thrilled

Well since we're talking about it, What is half a Kunitz exactly?

well half of "Prime Kunitz" (2013 and 2013/14 seasons) would've been anywhere from 20-25 goals and around 35-40 points

So the high end is essentially 20 goals 20 assists. Tanev scored 14 goals and 15 assists last year. Is 6 extra goals and 5 assists really that big of a jump?

Plus I'd argue Kunitz best year was 35 goals and 68 points. If we're being literal in the points dept, Tanev would only need a few more points to be half a Kunitz. Lol @ saying that out loud in my head.

Tanev is not a 3.5M player right now. I'm saying he could be if he takes another somewhat small step and reaches a potential he wouldn't have been able to do in WPG. Its not a impossibility for a player whose improved his offensive numbers every year he's been in the league. We're not talking about 20 more here. 4-6 more goals and 2-4 more assists. Playing alongside Crosby for a couple games could get him that alone.....
