Small TOR Trade

Created by: Rooney
Team: 2019-20 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 24, 2019
Published: Jul. 24, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
There does not seem to be any room for Bracco in Toronto especially after all the signings today.

I believe he is good enough to play a permanent role in the NHL, he's proven all he can at the AHL level.

I have no idea value-wise if this trade makes sense, but him playing on a line with McDavid in the future or starting out as the second line RW works.

Thoughts?

This would make sense for the Leafs if it was bigger deal like Ceci+Bracco+pick for Larsson or something like that.

Fair enough! Yeah I had no idea what to offer up so figured my evaluation would be off, but I think in the future putting Bracco with McDavid would be dangerous!

I would put Bracco with RNH to be honest. They would fit nicely. McDavid-Neal duo, Draisaitl-Benson duo and RNH-Bracco duo. And they need all the PP points in the world so.. it would work.

I would rather give Marody and Benson a shot before making a trade for Bracco. Plus we have Yammamoto another year away. A lot of players in a similar situation.

Marody is 4th line talent in my eyes. Bracco would get you creative side of a winger.

What about PoolParty??

There’s no way Bouchard is stepping into a Top-4 role. A) Holland just wont do it because he likes to have prospects over-rippen before moving into the NHL. B) He would get slaughtered in a Top-4 role; he should be down in the Bake building confidence and dominating before being brought up.

Instead, IMO, you should leave Russell on the second pair (right side) and bring Jones up to play bottom pair (left side) with Benning. Russell, while on the decline, is still a better D-Man than Jones and Benning.

Also... Haas and his agent have come out and said that if he plays in the AHL for longer than a week (for conditioning and transitioning purposes) he would go back to Europe. So he’ll need to factor into your forwards somewhere.

one lacks foot speed the other size but there ahl numbers are close to the same, Marodys are actually a little better. All i know for sure is AHL to NHL ia a big jump and neither could make it
