5 years walks McAvoy right to UFA. Edmonton easily declines that. Get Björk out, put heinen at 3LW and Kuhlman at 3RW (assuming they have someone else at 2RW). Defensive pairings are wacky. Clifton would play over miller. Carlo gets less for 3 years.

Gaborik's contract is insured. No way does cheapo Melnyk trade his contract for a player like Backes who he would have to pay out of his own pocket.

5 years McAvoy is still RFA, as seen in the long term outlook. He should be signed for 5x6.25m. Carlo is not being had for 3.5, maybe 5m.

that's about spot on for a 3-year deal. If it were 2 years it would be less, but 3 nah that's about what it would cost.

Anywhere from 2.5-3. 3.5 is too much

not really. You are paying for what he is going to do, not what he has done in the past.

Not how a bridge deal works. If they give him 6+ years then yes he’ll get 4.5-5.5. But anything 3 or less he won’t get more than 3.

It’s a “prove that you can keep doing what you’ve done before we break the bank on you.” And a prove you can score more than 10 points because stay at home defensive D-men don’t get paid a fortune

3 isn't a bridge deal. 2 or less is bridge 3 or more is going to be under his wants not Boston's. You don't really have an option to play upper hand because Arbitrators are going to agree with him on what he did/ Therefore it will be on a basis of 2.75-3.5

That has to be a mistake, 5 years would give McAvoy exactly 7 years of service, which makes any player a UFA. Maybe @CapFriendly could help explain if I’m missing something?

Also, there is literally no chance Carlo gets $5mil on a 3 year deal. Doesn’t have enough (or any) offense at all to get that kind of money yet.

Yeah this is just a bug. If you go 8 years it still says RFA.
