Don't see this happening, Shatty has to waive his no trade which he won't. Also Gorton has stated the team needs to build through the draft not just now but going forward.

Agreed. Shattenkirk's NTC (which I think includes every Canadian team) is the main deterrent to this deal. Namestnikov and Smith (who I believe also has an NTC, just not sure which teams are on it) would be the better options to move between teams.
