I think both teams should do that, the only concern is the EDM 1st if they dont make the playoffs but yeah

EDM has little cap space but is not actually in cap trouble. Of course some space would be nice. But this is silly.

I would counter with Gagner, Russell, Puljujarvi, a 2nd and a 4th for Pageau and Jaros. This is not a return that merits sending Lavoie or a 1st anywhere, if that's what the Sens asked this convo would never start. Better solutions elsewhere.

I'd say, to make it a little more fair, let EDM keep their first and let OTT keep Jaros. I'd also consider OTT adding Nick Paul to the trade because, let's be honest, OTT is NEVER going to do right by him and I'd love to see him prove how good he is somewhere else in order to show just how stupid OTT management is.
