I could see him playing 3c with Sabres. The same role that he had with Washington.

That would be a nice return for Ristolainen.

Yes he has, Roslovic may be a better option for center, but Johansson was drafted as a center.

You are correct, he would be better at wing, but the Sabres need a center more than a winger.

Who is your 4th center? Rodrigues is better at the wing than center, Thompson I hope starts the season in Rochester, Girgensons has played center but with Larsson they make a good 4th line. I think there are deals to be made maybe Scandella to EDM for Gagner and Bogosian to NSH for Bonino for example. Maybe other pieces need to be added but those trades help all of the teams. Betterall is not done, he has made great acquisitions but needs to make a few more. He has made remarkable improvements in the defense without giving up significant assets. I like adding Vesey and Johansson for depth something that has been missing for at least 4 years (can you imagine Derek Grant as a second line winger?). If Mittelstadt can bulk up, I think he has the skills to be a 2nd line center. While I do not think this is a play off team, a 10 pt improvement is not unreasonable (the coaching alone may be 10 pts better than last year with Bales and Kruger). The problem of course is the east is so strong, it took 99 pts to make the playoffs.

Skinner-Eichel-Reinhart
Johansson-Mittelstadt-
Olofsson-Rodrigues-
Girgensons-Larsson-

Add Okposo, Sheary, Vesey where you want and it's done

" Rodrigues is better at the wing than center " You're really able to play him on the wing due to the lack of depth
