Slavin in the sim league I take part in is normally 88 med elite, he's SO underrated

I put low elite because they still usually develop into 87/88/89 ratings. Med elites usually develop into 90-92 and I don't see slavin putting up 55-65 points in the NHL, but I see him as a rock solid 88/89 rating development who puts up 35-45 points #1 dman

D men aren't paid for their offence. Slavin is one of the best D men in the league in his own zone, he has games where he's more productive in the crease than a goalie. He deserves that 90+ rating based on that alone, and then theres the roughly 40 point upside? He's not a slouch offensively and his defence is secondtonone

EA factors in points when it comes to defenseman. Believe me I'm fully aware points aren't everything for dmen. They don't rate guys like Vlasic, Ekholm, or Skjei 90 overalls even though they are great defensively with about 30-40 points upside. They are rated 84-86 range. I can't put Slavin above guys like Seth Jones or Brent Burns who are 90 overalls, put up great numbers, and are good in their own end. Slavin at an 86 is the same as Mattias Ekholm who was one of the better dmen in the league this past season.

lol McAvoy is, stop being ridiculous. 21 year old #1 dman leads a team to the Stanley Cup Final. If you noticed, I gave Krug an 86 OFD. I repeat OFFENSIVE DMAN. Doesn't mean he'll have better defensive stats than Slavin.
