Johnson and a 1st for Lewis is fine. Kings would probably go for that.

You'll have to do a little better for Toffoli. Kings are going to want a young, expansion draft exempt forward. Not sure Calgary has anyone in the system that the Kings would be interested in. Pittsburgh has a couple guys that would qualify, but I don't think they'd be willing to throw in more than a 1st to dump Johnson's contract.

Why is it everyone seems to think Frolik is a cap dump - he scored 34 points in 65 games last year - is an excellent penalty killer and can play both wings. Toffoli only got 34 points in 82 games last year, is 4.6M for 1 more year than Fro and people all over this site think he is worth a king’s ransom.

Did I miss something? Where is Frolik mentioned in this AGM?

Awesome feedback and much appreciated. I wonder if Calgary’s pick could go to Pittsburgh instead and the Penguins would add a player like that. I think some reshuffling could be done to make it work!

Sorry, I should have made it clear that the ask for Toffoli would be a 2nd + a prospect. If that 2nd went to Pittsburgh instead, the Kings still wouldn't go for it, even if you were to lure away a decent prospect to include in the trade to LA.

I could see LA going for the trade you propose at the deadline though.

I see what you’re saying but situationally if this trade happened Frolik would need to move. Team know Calgary is strapped and won’t pay market value for either Brodie or Frolik.
