Description
helping out calgary a little. Would be better to trade Ericsson but we all know that wont happen.

tuulola is a right had shot couple more years to develop but not a bad option. Luke Philp would also be nice but calgary will want to keep him.

Next year Wings move/ buyout some forwards. Young guys play... We may see Helm or Glendening be moved at trade deadline. Would be suprised if Nielsen is moved then.

  1. Tuulola, Eetu
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
moves to second depending on preformance
CGY
  1. Daley, Trevor ($1,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Calgarys cap situation would require them to move another player. Sounds like frolik if they can find someone who wants him. Derek ryan would probably be easier to move.

I like Erne but that is an over pay. One year deal around a million and let him prove himself.

Flames likely wouldn't do this deal as it blocks Kylington from playing and they are overpaying to rent Daley to eat popcorn. You might get the third or a fourth, but more likely they just sign a guy like Hutton, Schlemko, or Phaneuf for less than that $1.5M that Daley would be getting if they wanted a veteran to play / watch from the pressbox.

Calgary has already commented that they will be looking outside the organization to fill the role. If they cant find anyone they will then use Kylington. They could sign one of them, I think daley is a little better then them but if Phaneuf would sign for a mill, then by all means bring him back. Also Daley has a salary this year at 2.2M. Detroit could look at throwing back a 5th as well but I don't think it would be needed

I believe "looking outside the organization" meant a UFA signing for 1 year < $1M, not sending out two assets for a guy (Daley) worse than the internal option they already have (Daley v. Kylington 2019). The depth chart at LHD looks fine to me even if they don't get anyone right now and only make the move for a Daley or equivalent in the event of an injury.

Hanifin - Hamonic
Kylington - Andersson
Davidson - Yelesin

Agree it’s unlikely but veteran depth would be nice for playoffs. Would love to see them past the first round. But a good option to wait until trade deadline.
