Yeah i know, but the fact that everyone thinks Mcavoy is taking less than 6mil drives me crazy. I think the only way to lock him up for the full 8 is 7.5mil. Mcavoy is a great shutdown player, he is consistent and clutch. He is going to age amazingly.

I worry he is the next Jurri Fischer, enough that I would consider trading him. He is great, I think a 2 year deal around 5.8-6m to up his offensive numbers would be smart on his behalf. Could earn him 7-8 on a multi year deal.

He will never be a 50point player, he will be the next Vlassic. A short-term deal could backfire.

Carlo won't take $2M. That's not enough given how good he is. Don't need Brassard.

yes, you should change him to 4 and swap the years between him (6-7) and McAvoy (2-3)

Maybe 2or 3 years for McAvoy, I would never sign Carlo more than 4 years. But the thing is a bridge deal for McAvoy will backfire, he will likely be a top tier defensive defencemen.

I think he’s wrong. I think it would take 9. Do you not understand term and how it effects salary?

That's EW's projection for 73

1Y/$5,243,619
2Y/$5,300,796
3Y/$6,474,513
4Y/$6,337,871
5Y/$6,774,179
6Y/$7,129,068
7Y/$6,538,787
8Y/$7,640,834

But of course, I'm the one who doesn't understand anything

Ew has a good track record of being trash. You have absolutely zero clue.

ONE example

You're just stupid then

At least 80% of his projections differ from only $500K-$1M. That's pretty realistic. Stop acting like you know everything while having bad justifications

Sure thing, and hey, maybe your right. But don’t you think it’s weird that you can’t find on example of a guy like Carlo that signed for a decent money bridge? Or that you can’t find one example of a group one that got anything significant on a one or two year deal. Here’s the thing, I’m predicting that the sun will rise in the east, and you’re saying, “you’re stupid, why would it?”

Well, because I can’t find one example of that not happening. Find ONE, just one example to support your argument on either player.

Btw the Lower case upper case nonsense is what people do when they have no credible argument and are trying to deflect.

If you don't take Murray, Carlo has no comparable. So he'll set the market himself.

Of course I'll take Murray. That's exactly the kind of deal I think Carlo could get and I've been saying that the entire time. However Murray just totally supports my standpoint and destroys yours, so I don't really know why you're bringing him up.

I've already said Carlo is better than Murray was at that time. Murray didn't play in '14-15 (only 12GP) so that was in consideration when negotiations started.

oh. okay. so you don't think he's a comparable? There are guys that are quite good defensively coming off their entry deals that don't really put up much offensively. You should be able to find one. The problem is that they all got contracts that are kind of in line with what myself, and most of the other posters here think Carlo is going to get, and they're nothing like what you apparently think he'll get.
