I have a feeling that after L.A., ANA would be Lucic preferred destination (westcoast, win-now, etc.) ANA is looking for a LW and Lucic could play a similar net front role as Perry did when paired with Getzlaf allowing Perry to stay with Rakell where he had some success. Lucic is going to get 6yrs at 6mil offers but would take a discount for his preferred destination. The cap hit necessitates the Fowler trade. I see the trade chips as Tartar, or Mantha and a 2nd, or 2nd tier prospect and a 1st. To sweeten the deal, DET get some cap relief by including Howard (ANA gets a veteran goalie at reasonable cap hit to back up Gibson) and a 4th round pick in return. Plukkinen looks ready to plug in to a bottow six role now but just to be safe (and if Ritchie isn't ready for full time role) sign one of Stewart, Pirri, Eaves of the UFAs able to play with speed and size up and down the line up and who are willing to sign for under 2mil.
