You know Perreault maybe a nice fit in Pittsburgh. Maybe a B prospect and a 4th with more salary retained would do it.

Seidenberg was good in his time but those days are behind him, wonder what Claesson, Hutton or Petrovic would cost for defensive depth. Not saying those guys are world beaters but neither was Vegas' defense that went to the cup final in their first season.

There blue line is very underrated, Schmidt is very good, kinda like a Morrissey, Theodore is elite in my opinion, Mcnabb is very solid defensively, and Colin Miller was solid that year, there blue line is better than ours is now tbh

Sure I don't deny that but before they got there they weren't all that known and the same can be said for Niku and Poolman, my point is they shouldn't be written off before the season starts, far too much concern about the state of the defense imo.

And if say Hutton was signed for cheap if possible and was on the 2nd pair with Buff then how does this defense look, I think one minor tweak could make a big difference. Also I think one of the Jets better games from the defense last season was the game when Niku, Schilling and Nogier were all in the lineup, I think this group as is will be alright.
