C-Ehn-ter depth

Created by: Eli
Team: 2019-20 Washington Capitals
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 3, 2019
Published: Sep. 3, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Some Detroit fan suggested something around Ehn for Djoos a month ago. I shot it down because they only threw in a 5th, and Djoos has a Cup, and one more year of experience, and plays a more valuable position. But if Detroit throws in, say, a 3rd and 4th, then Washington gets an NHL-experienced forward it can call up to play 4th line if they get injuries, or whatever, and it gets a little cap space.
Trades
1.
WSH
  1. Ehn, Christoffer
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (SJS)
  3. 2022 4th round pick (DET)
Additional Details:
Ehn got 9 points in 60 games last year. 4C. 23 y.o. Waiver exempt.
DET
  1. Djoos, Christian
Additional Details:
Djoos was on pace for 18 even strength points last year, which would tie him for 91st among defensemen, but the Caps have five defensemen better than him, and no cap space.

If you are going to move D, I say move Kempny for picks/prospects. $2.5M out, $900K replacement from Hershey, -$1.6M net, was $1.3M over the cap @23, now $300K under the cap @23.

From a standpoint of maximizing trade value, Kempny is the established top pairing LHD whom NJ would happily trade McLeod and maybe a 3rd for. Then Djoos should keep developing and score 30 points if he plays top pair with Carlson, and the Caps can trade Djoos for a late 1st next draft day, and sign Johansen at 1.5x3yrs to play top pair. But I posted it, and every single other Caps fan in history showed up to comment that the team should focus instead on trying to win another championship while it has Ovechkin, rather than worrying already about how to stay competitive after he leaves. You're welcome to try to post it again.

Good night, already.

What does anything you just quoted there have to do with anything that we were talking about?

I've also said that you ramble one with nonsensical stuff hoping that people just give up and stop pointing out how wrong you always are.

Btw...

Eli: "the Caps can trade Djoos for a late 1st next draft day"
Me: "Eli thinks that Djoos is worth a 1st."
Eli: "Not what I said at all."

Literally, LITERALLY, what you said. You can post a reply that has NOTHING to do with the track of the conversation... but LITERALLY what you said.

I honestly think that you might need to talk to someone about the lapses in your head..

I had forgot about this part. I'm welcome to try to post what again? Who are you talking to and what are they telling you? If the voices are trying to get you to hurt yourself, don't listen to them.
