C'mon guys. If you really want Laine you have to make Chevy thinks, not laugh. I put a condition on the pick, but it may have to be a 1st ..

Domi at 7-9 millions according to his 19-20 season
Mete : bridge around 2-4 millions

Domi - KK - Laine (KK will be able to handle more minutes next year. This year he still need to be 2nd C at most)

Drouin has talent, is young, signed for 4 years. That’s the kind of centerpiece the Jets would be looking for. Problem is i would never want him on my team.

If i’m Chevy i ask for Domi and Romanov. Possibly Danault with 2 of Poehling/Caulfield/Romanov but that would be last resort.

Flyers are a much better fit for a Laine trade. And i’d be looking there first.

Drouin - Danault might be a better mix than Domi alone.

Domi has nice team friendly deal this year making signing Conner easy and Kulikov comes off the books next year, there is most of Domi’s raise covered.

I’d rather have the talent. Crazy i guess.

They have 30m cap space avail next year and other than Conner this year and Domi and Morrisey nobody significant to sign. It would not be an issue. ??‍♂️

They have 13.5 for Provorov and Koneckny.

Ghost/Patrick/Laughton for Laine/Appleton type of package would give them about 20m for Laine and the other 2. Be iffy. But if they want it they will find a way.

Jets will have plenty of options if they do go the trade route. They won’t settle for 2/3 the value just to move him.
