And the league's first 0-82 team due to never taking the ice because they dont meet the cap. They then get fined their draft picks and this season is officially a write off...

They would 100% lose any pick of value because the NHL would fine them

And never get another UFA again as you just sign and trade them away...

They both signed one year deals on a team they knew was going to be ****. They're both aware they will likely be traded.

Hainsey knew nobody else would pay him that kind of money, and Ennis likely thinks he's got a chance to play higher in the lineup and boost his stats for a big paycheck next year.
