Yeah Gardiner more offensive and Pesce more defensive. Gardiner never had someone like Pesce to play with (size and defensive ability)

Would allow him to make much more risks and could really allow him to blossom into a somewhat elite defenseman. Kinda like how Letang is paired with Brian Dumoulin.
