I don't think the trade moves the needle very much. It would make them somewhat younger, and Connor is very close to Larkin personally, but stuffing the first line doesn't fix the depth issue (Bertuzzi's success is reliant somewhat on Larkin, would he have the same success with Veleno or Ras in the future? If not, you have a 1 line team). How much of Connor's success was his Cs (Little and Scheifele?) Is he that much better than AA, or does he just have better surrounding talent? A lot of questions would still need to be answered.

It definitely gives you cost certainty though, but until Nielsen, Abs, Helm, Daley, Ericcson, and (to a lesser extent) Glendening are gone, this isn't a fix that's worth it (and it's definitely not worth it for WPG).

I agree, I much prefer AA, I think he will have a great year this year. Just wanted to hear peoples thoughts as this is an offer Wings put towards Connor's before he signed. The idea I think was just to get Larkin and Connors back together.
