I'd rather keep Perreault around with a forward core that young. He's a possession monster, excellent forechecker, and defensively responsible which is basically the three main ingredients for a great player to put with young up and coming players. In this scenario I'm alright with giving Gus a little more seasoning in the A.

Also let's go get Tyson Barrie. Hamonic is decent but the stuff he's good at is the kind of thing which gets overvalued in the defense market, whereas Barrie is small and gets generally undervalued at every turn because of it.

I would rather put 7M into Barrie than 5.5 into Hamonic.

I think you have that backwards. Barrie's value is easier to determine since its more often found on the scoresheet where haminics value is less noticeable without actually watching them play. Im not argui g that Barrie is a bad target in fact I think he makes a lot of sense to go after if the Jets can find some depth as well like TVR or something. Just saying that its a lot harder to gauge a players value if what they provide doesnt appear on the score sheet. Thats why people really underrate Vlassic, and underrated Pesce for so long.
