Published: Oct. 14, 2019

Description
Makes absolutely no sense. He's been one of their best defensemen, I don't care about the 9 game limit. If you want to win you keep him up

What about that #6 spot? It looked like that wan Sandin's spot but now he's in the minors

I thought the number 5 spot was his until Dermott game back but as Sammy mentioned, keeping another year of ELC has merit.

First and second year Pro players are exempt. Sandin & Liljigren are both eligible.

Slide candidates are different. They technically haven't yet burned a year of ELC so both are still not pro. Even if they both played a tonne of games, they are still not first or second year players.

Ok, that makes sense. I can’t find it anywhere on CapFriendly though.

Yeah it took me a while to find that specific information and it wasn't even connected to the eligibility rules on the NHL website. I was reading up on what a slide candidates was and it mentioned in there that slide candidates are technically not seen as being in the pros yet.
