Not that Hall won’t go back to Edmonton, but the return will be a truly elite prospect for NJ like Brannstrom in the Stone trade. As good a start as the Oilers have had I don’t think they are in a position to sell high end prospects yet, keep building IMO. Maybe try to sign him in UFA

yup, exactly this. At a minimum one of Broberg or Yamo would have to be part of the deal, on top of a 1st and probably pool party at well. Oilers are dreaming if they think a bunch of spare parts will land them Hall

Do you think the Avs would be interested? I admittedly don’t see much of the Avs other than when they slaughter the Flames lol, but it seems like they have the a few things,
1. A great team
2. Prospects
3. A good chance at re-signing Hall as they were in on Panarin

Byram obviously untouchable, but maybe Timmins?

They could be interested, but its not really Sakics way to blow young assets on rentals. He would go after him as a UFA bc they could make it work with him under the Mackinnon window.

Zadorov, Jost, 1st is something I believe they would kick around to see where that lands, but bowers, Timmins, Newhook, Byram are all part of the next wave, they really wanted to model themselves after Tampa, extend their window of winning with high end ELCs coming in
