You're not gonna trick NHL Gms into thinking Neal is a stud.

If he can even find a way to put a few 40 point seasons together its worth it to keep him

he doesnt need to put up a few 40 point seasons, he has scored 20+ in 10/11 NHL seasons and will almost certainly do it again this year

That was the Flames biggest mistake. Besides last season he's been 20+ goals a season. They mismanaged him and were not patient enough to see him bounce back.

He would have never bounced back there. It was a bad fit, they didn't know how to use him.

I don't know if they could trade him. However, if you just keep him shooting he will give you 20+ goals a season if not more.
It's only 3 more years. EDM will probably get at least 2 good years out him.

20 goals, 40 points, whatever. My point is you aren't gonna get value back for James Neal
