Is it just me .. or is it going to be worse for cap space when Nico's deal becomes active and not 950k?

With both Simmonds and Greene becoming UFA's, as well as Eakin, and with a rather expensive 4th Line in this scenario, with both Boqvist and Co counting towards the cap, I don't think it would be much of a problem actually.

For only one year as a UFA, I think that's reasonable for Marchessault joining.

I think Marchessault should be in Vegas to stay. They have him on a fair contract and I just can't see him on the move for a UFA who will command Stone/Panarin money by the end of the year. This trade would leave a hole in Vegas for Top 6 next year and shortens their cup window because they won't resign Hall. The addition of McLeod is an interesting piece, but he probably has a good 2-3 years before (and if) he can make an impact similar to Marchessault in the lineup.
