Time for the young guns to earn their spot

Description
So there is a lot of blogs and comments that they should not have signed a 4th line PK winger and a 3rd pair dman. But I'm of the belief that NHL spots should be earned not handed out and if they are NHL ready these signings should not stop them from making the roster. Also, I put Cowen in LTIR cause he and his Reps are arguing he was injured so if he is Injured he should finish this contract in the press box like Robidas is going to do. Fire your reps Cowen they are ending your career. Rychel is motivated to prove everyone wrong I would not be shocked if he makes the opening night roster.

Get Greening off that first line LMFAO Are you my kidding me, there's no way he's making the team. JvR is definitely on that first line

Other than that, I agree. It will be a battle between Brown, Sosh, Rychel and Leivo for the final spot. You forgot Hyman too

My mock lineup would be

JvR - Matthews - Nylander
Komarov - Kadri - Brown/Soshnikov
Leivo/Rychel - Bozak - Marner
Martin - Laich - Hyman
Michalek

Rielly - Zaitsev
Gardiner - Carrick
Marincin - Polak
Hunwick - Corrado

Matthews will be protected at first but I'm not buying that he will be a 3rd liner for long. He's too good. He's already the best C on the team by a mile. More skill and speed than Bozak and more size than Kadri

I was more trying to balance the lines than putting player on proper rankings. I looked at it that I could see Matthews Van Reimsdyk and Komarov on a line together to start the year. Marner should make the roster but Babcock and Lou like to surround rookies with veterans this was other than the third line 2 vets with a very young player.

Those are possible lines I was just trying to figure out lines that fit Babs and Lou belief of trying to shelter prospects. The reason like I said that I put Greening on a line with Bozak and Nylander was Bozak is a 2/3 Center, on a playoff team Nylander would be starting on a 3rd line and Greening was a decent complementary 3rd line wing last year when he came from Ottawa. Matthews would be getting better skill round him to truly develop better, and Kadri, Marner with another prospect will play with alot of Skill and will develop well. So again these were just lines I tried to balance so that no prospect would be out of place and wouldn't stunt their development.
