Description
Just trying to get some feedback on this idea. I think Staal would fill the 2c really well in Florida and Brodin would go a long way to shore up the defence. The Stralman contract is a bitter pill to swallow so I figured the Wild need Borgstrom and a first coming back.

Stralman is still a decent Top 4 Defensive Defenseman. Yes that contract is insanity but he's still a Top 6 on most teams. Florida doesn't need Eric Staal as their 2C as Trochek is highly regarded and plays nice Ryan O'Reillyesque physical two way centre role. I think Florida highly regards Borgstrom and probably aren't interested in tossing in a 1st to not help overly with immediate needs.

Yeah stralman isn’t the worst on this team and his contract is shorter than the rest of the d. But I’ll trade you Matheson for brodin

Borgstrom is the Cats top center prospect, you just don’t trade that unless a team overpays. Adding the first makes the Cats the ones overpaying. Stralman has been solid so far this season. Overall it’s a n easy no from the Panthers
