Marner wasn't C in Junior this year so not sure why you expect him to be a 2C. Swap him and Nylander to be a bite more realistic IMO.

I don't think Kap will ever be a 1st line player. He is just too raw.

Kapanen as a 19 year old got better in the AHL last year. We'll see what he does with big Marlie minutes this year. In a few years, could certainly see Nylander, Matthews, Marner and Kapanen as the top 4 forwards.

I think instead of using the 2016/17 roster and removing the contracts that end after this season I would recommend you try your line up while selecting the 2017/18 or 2018/19 option.

I think he ended the year the exact same player he was when he started. First year of pro hockey so I am being a bit tough on the kid. I just don't think it is realistic to expect him to be a bonified top 6 forward.
