Nope... how can NJ can get all that stuff for two players whom, together, get 15 points this season? Come on...

because both players were on NJD when they got said points in a system that's been a Joke since Brodeur hung up the Pads.

Subbans got proven success on a team with Skill in NJD and one without in MTL Canadiens 2012-2015
he's a solid skater who can carry the puck and anyone with a clue knows how Extremely rare that is among all NHL skaters not just D .

Butchers regretting snubbing COL the team that signed him looking to skip the AHL where he would have been assigned for a year or 2 in COL and choosing a team where he knew he'd not only get to play but have a top 4 role . Butchers still got the talent but he has to go to a team where he can be #3-4 guy on the blue line without any pressure to be #1 LD .

Show me a player who thrives in NJD system and i'll show you the 22/23 others who are struggling

Toronto isn't giving up a 1st for Subban. He's a huge gamble at this point given his recent performance and apparently he's having trouble skating now due to his lower back or something? Not taking that gamble.
