Picking up Kreider as a rental for such a high price would be a shortsighted move by any GM. He is currently a 50 point pace player with speed. Not someone to mortgage the future over by spending 3 relatively high prospects to acquire for 30 ish games. Kylington is an NHL player. Calgary is a good team and already have a good shot of winning a round without trading for him, so having the condition for upgrading a 2nd to a 1st as a single playoff round is insane to me. Plus if they make the mistake of resigning him to a deal they now lose two unprotected firsts and Kylington for Kris ****ing Kreider? Thats better value than Erik Karlsson got.
