He can play on the right side (he played there for a while in Dallas). Also, he fills in for Muzzin too for a few weeks and adds defensive depth after he comes back, as does Karlsson.

Leafs could fetch (and probably have already been offered) a much better return for kapanen than brenden Dillon plus spare wheels. Sharks would need to add

Reverse psychology to get people to engage, I dislike that.

As for the trades, I think the Rangers would have to be high on Chmelevski to accept that, otherwise I imagine someone ponies up a 1st. Toronto declines; the main piece is a rental LHD, Melker is a 12th/13th forward making $2M, and True is okay but ultimately a throw in. I imagine Toronto brings up Sandin before moving Kapanen for a rental.

I don't think it was reverse psychology... He just didn't want Leafs and Rangers fans to spaz out on him, something that happens frequently in AGM comment sections

I actually like the trade for the Rangers. Maybe another team beats it with a first and a nice prospect, but if this is what the Rangers come away with I'm okay with it.

Well, I doubt saying that would help any more than telling your girlfriend to "calm down".

7 points out of a playoff spot with 40 games left..not insurmountable.

idk if i should be the one to break it to you, but... your team is really bad. i don't mean to hurt your feeling. 30th place in goals against. 23nd in goals. pp is 27th. 1 player isn't going to fix that mess.
