Quite an overpayment by CBJ, more likely the only way I see the kings getting even a second rounder is retaining cap.

I think because Quick is 33 with three more years on his deal and currently has two consecutive years at under .900, very few teams would be willing to take a gamble unless the Kings retained 25% ($.35M cap hit), and even then I think you would be hard-pressed to even get a second or third for him at that.

I think CBJ would be one of those teams willing to take the gamble though.
The goalie situation looked sketchy at first, and recent news, Korpisalo is hurt for 4-6 wks.

P.S. I do agree that I made CBJ overpay, thanks for saying so!

Which picks would you get rid of in the deal?

I personally think the 1, and 2 is overpaying. A 3 and 4 is worth giving up, again, personally.
