Ehm.. if they are desperate enough they might. I personally expect Askarov in early 10s.

Why not? They'll need an elite goalie and I don't think any of their current prospects projects to be a #1, do they?

Between Joey Daccord, Marcus Hogberg, Filip Gustavsson and Mads Sogaard, they have enough options. Even if one doesn't stand out truly as a '#1 then I think they'll at least have two solid '1B' options to have a decent enough tandem.

If we're lucky enough to get Laff then they'll probably look to take a forward with the SJ pick.

Ah, I forgot about Søgaard. He could be a #1 in the future. Still, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ottawa take Askarov with the 2nd pick. They need prospects for all positions though, so who knows.
