Not sure if that trade is sarcastic or not, but Montreal isn't going to trade Lindgren. He will be our backup/AHL starter next year.

We pay him NHL money since 3 years ! I wonder how much time you could play the AHL while getting NHL money !

He is waiver eligible right now. We can't send him down without going through waivers, but we don't need too. He's going to be our backup for this year and most likely next. There is no point in having Primeau sit on the bench in the NHL.

He's proven he can be a reliable back up. Just because CJ doesn't trust him doesn't mean he isn't the guy to do that. I would rather Primeau play 50+ games in Laval than him play 27 games behind this terrible defense and ruin his confidence.
