No way this happens but the trades are fair. Man, do they have teeth.

Buffalo trade speaks for itself. Sam Reinhart would assume the number one center role in our organization. He is cost controlled for two more years which is huge. Kane is a high risk vs high reward. He is under contract for two years and in my opinion needs a hard line coach to straighten him out. He has skills. Just needs discipline. Only two more years on his contract makes him an attractive piece.

Jack Johnson goes to Boston. He helps replace the lost production from Krug and when Krug does return he provides depth to Boston's defensive core. Small price to pay. Plus, Boston receives two picks to help replace those they traded.

This helps the Jackets maintain a great cap space outlook. Murray would need to be signed in two years. At the same time as Jenner. I see Jenner with more value. Murray is a great defender but we have some very talented LD on the brink of NHL time or on the way. I believe Murray eventually gets traded anyway so why not get some value.
