"If Nurse resigns". He's a RFA. Don't think Oiler do that deal. Rather not have Buff, and just have that 3.9m to spend elsewhere not year.

Yes the FA of RFA means Ftee Agent. Just because Leafs have his rights doesn't mean he wants to sign here. I don't think the Oilers do that exact deal but I think Nurse is available. But it doesn't have to him specifically it can be him, Manson, either Colin or Kevan Miller hell even Subban (with retention) at this point. Leafs need help on the blue line this year IF they want to contend. I'm not saying all in but 2-3 pieces is necessary.

As for Buff I really like him and at 3.9 is a good price for 1 year and like 20 games this year for him. He's tough, knows how to move the puck and probably most importantly has a bomb of a shot which the Leafs lack from the point. (Going back to Subban with retention).

Y'all can have Soup too. I know he's hurt now but he was great when he played. He'll be good to go next year.
