det pitt mtl NYR next season lineup

Created by: gregory_papas
Team: 2020-21 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 27, 2020
Published: Jan. 28, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
1. the detroit trade is similar from the trade the avs made with the caps for Grubauer. the avs bought out orpik, detroit can do the same.

2. every deadline pitt makes a move, i have no proof just an observation, but i think they make a move for kreider.

3. lias trade can be any team, i think he would be a good fit in montreal. the rangers got back a late 2nd and 6th rounders for Bobby Sanguinetti in 2010 who wasn't going to amount to anything even when the trade happened. i was shocked they got that much for hi at the time. if the nyr got the same for andersson i wouldn't complain.

i know barron should play a season in hartford but his ability to play the pk is going to give him a jump on others to make the team. i've only watched 1 game of him but that game i watched he was the best player on the team. plays in all situations.

BRENDAN SMITH WON'T BE COMING BACK TO DETROIT. They traded him because he is a f@#$ing headcase.

you didn't read the team explanation. that was lazy of you. the trade would come with a buyout. the avs just made a similar trade in the past.

a 1st and a bottom 6 player, its fair. literally once i submitted this post i read an article with the pens gm saying he wants to win now, would be interested in a rental. further cements me decision that pitt will be in on kreider.

I’m not saying they wouldn’t be in on Kreider. But he isn’t trading anyone from the most consistent line on the team. Especially one signed cheap thru next year which is what we need more than a rental.

i would be down for a prospect like Valtteri Puustinen or Filip Hallander instead.

Ok you got me I didn't read that but now that I have that was a trade from 2 years ago and it doesn't happen all that often. I think you might be reaching a bit and buyouts like offer sheets Happen way more often on Capfriendly.com than they do in real life. Since 2006 Detroit has bought out 4 players. That being said I'd probably take the risk but I don't see Detroit doing this. Yzerman has never taken on a cap dump in his 10 years of being a GM. Plus he keeps stressing that he is building through the draft. So who knows?

I like the Galchenyuk signing, why wouldn't the rangers take a flyer on a player that once tucked in 30 right?

Would really like them to go after him this off season. If it pans out as well, maybe re-sign him to some decent term with Staal/Hank coming off the books after the 2021 season

Detroit also been a contender for a lot of those years. It’s a chance for them to take a risk on a high upside highly for cheap. Smith is only owed a little over 2 mill next season so it’s a cheaper deal than the abs paid.

During that time (with no salary cap) Detroit also traded away lots of picks and prospects to keep winning. We were lucky to have an owner that wanted to win at any cost and a few of those years he he didn't break even until the second or third round. One of those buyouts was Tootoo and the only reason he was bought out was Babcock decided he didn't like Tootoo any more.

smith's buyout would be 2,783,333 then 783,333 the following year. i don't watch the wings play at all, what i read it doesn't look like they have any high end goalie prospects. if i was them i would do it. it's just an idea, most these trades on this site isn't going to happen.

Don't see Montreal paying that, don't see the Rangers trading him for that.
