I could be way off on this one and I’m sorry if I am. Just testing this out. I’ve looked at a couple Kings AGMs for reference to the Martinez trade. I saw a lot of 2nd + 3rd offers with what I think were lower end prospects. And for toffoli would be backes, the 1st, Kuhlman and Zboril. It’s a lot to give up, and I don’t see Martinez as a huge need. With Martinez under term next year, it would make it real difficult to keep everyone so in reality it probably doesn’t make sense to look at Martinez. I was just testing it out and seeing if it was a deal that could work.

Ik we don’t, I was just interested in the deal. And seeing if it would work for both sides. But don loves his depth dmen so be ready for a move for one

Martinez id agree but I fully expect the bruins to be in on Toffoli. Them as a package I’d see as unlikely I just wanted to see if I could make it work from both sides

Los Angeles would say yes to this deal in a heartbeat. But you are sending too much. Take out Kuhlman at least, and Zboril too, probably. I'm just trying to be fair.

Backes = the third
Toffoli = second plus a good prospect
Martinez = second plus a good prospect
together = two seconds, or a first, plus two prospects, or a third or future second

I was basically taking what I saw from LAK mocks and tried to duplicate it from BOS PoV. And usually I’d rather mock up an overpay and hear it from my fellow bruins fans on here than undervalue a trade and hear it from another fan base.

The rest of your analysis is good though, so perhaps by combining ours we can say that the deal is just about perfect (Maybe switching out the 1st for a 2021 2nd?)
