Description

Pretty obvious that we need one main thing. It is a top pairing defensive defenseman.

Manson trade gives rebuilding ANA a position of weakness in forward from a position of strength (defense) and similarly for toronto. Johnsson is a good player but with our abundance of wingers, it makes him expendable especially since the upgrade on D is greater than the subtraction at forward. They also get Bracco who is unlikely to get a real chance with our depth at wing. If it is still unfair, we can include a pick.

I really think Manson could be the missing piece of a tough as nails right handed defenceman to play with Rielly on the Leafs. Not sure if Ducks would only accept Johnsson as Bracco and Ceci do not seem to have alot of value and Ducks need to start the rebuild.
