Toffoli and Foligno

Created by: kscoop
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 10, 2020
Published: Feb. 10, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Cassidy obviously isn't a fan of Heinen. Wild add as Heinen is younger and has a higher ceiling than Foligno. Foligno helps the Bruins now as he plays a much heavier game than Heinen. Toffoli for a 2nd plus Moore allows the Kings to deal Martinez for more picks as this helps them accelerate their re-build.

The Wild don’t need more forwards....especially middle 6er-ish, left-shot types. Also, the Wild fan base will revolt if Foligno is traded, so I suspect Guerin will need an offer he can’t refuse to move him.

Yikes, no. Heinen is a better player and they get the picks aren't that far apart. No thanks, there is toughness to be found elsewhere for cheaper.

The list of players that Cassidy has healthy scratched to send a message is a long one. Did you think the same think about debrusk last year?

Heinen was scratched in 3 straight until yesterday. The difference between the other guys is that they had an impact immediately after being sat. Heinen comes back in and you don't hear his name. Sleepy Danton should be dealt to improve this team.

That's fine, but not for a lesser player. 9 years in the league. Career high of 23pts for Foligno.

"Sleepy Danton" - Career low of 34pts.

No.

Debrusk was scratched for like a dozen games last year.

If you can't tell the difference from the two players you're not watching the games. Pretty sure Debrusk wasn't scratched for a dozen games. He scored 27 goals. Debrusk is 10x the player Heinen is.

It was really impressive that debrusk went on the tear that he did at the end of the last year, and scored 27 despite being scratched a dozen games. I think he missed a couple because of injury, and about a dozen due to coaches decisions. The point? Cassidy scratches players to send a message. Grzelcyk. Kuraly. Debrusk. Clifton. Now heinen. It doesn’t mean the player stinks, it means they’re not at the top of their game and the coaching staff wants them to pick it up. For what it’s worth he played really well last night, and set up a couple premium scoring chances. Unfortunately, Coyle couldn’t seem to bury on an empty net back door.
