I'm at the point where I would throw a decent sweetener package for Seattle to take Zaitisev. I don't hate him, but his term is just mind boggling, and he will takes chance and or opportunity away from our younger D. Either that or buy him out in a couple years, so his count against cap is no burden

They have a plethora of 2nd round picks in this years and next years draft so a 2022 2nd round pick and a prospect to take Zaitsev isn't a bad option. It's either that or Boro, Pageau and DeMelo aren't on the roster at that point and you can take out Tierney and Zaitsev from the expansion list. That leaves Jaros Balcers and a few others.
