What is the purpose of the Vancouver trade? Stecher is more expensive than Dermott & worse..
Also a player like Goldobin is the last player you'd want in your bottom 6, especially on Toronto..

Minnesota most likely rejects as well. Brodin should be able to get more than that package

As a Vancouver fan, I want Stecher out. He is unhappy here and won't be taking any discounts. Our right side is also stronger than our left and Rafferty is likely to be NHL ready next year.

For Toronto, they get a more proven guy (who definitely is better than Dermott... yes, more expensive though). I can understand what you are saying about Goldobin though. This team has made Goldobin-type players work though.

Brodin's value is greatly up in the air and debated by both sides. More the argument of contract length that balances the immediate skill difference.

This is Brodin's last year under contract, so I doubt that you'd have to include the pick, and maybe not Greenway, either -- but I'm sympathetic to the family thing.
