Absolutely horrible trade

great trade for what the isles needed. they needed depth and Greene is really good still. just need that scorer now

Hes not really good. Hes a 3rd pairing defenseman at best and giving up a 2nd even for depth is a bad decision. There are way better guys who you could get on waivers. Martin Marincin is so much better then greene but no one would give up a 2nd for him

hes a +1 on a -43 team while playing 20 minutes a night. what 3rd pairing defenseman plays 20 mins a night?

Plus minus is an irrelevant stat and just because hes playing on the first pair defenseman doesnt mean hes a 1st pair defenseman. If hes doing horribly (which he is) then he shouldn't be on the 1st pair. Hes getting caved in whenever hes on the ice

but he isnt doing horribly. hes a stay at home shutdown dman and the devils are so much better with him on the ice. his corsi isnt high, sure, but the isles aren't a possession team. this isn a great move and fills quite a need

Hes corsi and xG relative to his teammates is way worse so the devils are worse when hes on the ice. Hes making the devils worse so he will not be making the isles any better

Cody Ceci is a +8 and John Klingberg is a -11. Goes to show you +/- is a horrible stat to judge a guy
