Description

Kaut is gone. He has been brought up to activate his contract and showcase him. There is no way that Joe blows a ELC slide year and development. Kaut may have found his game but there are other, better call ups in Loveland. Isn't there an agreement between the NHL and the CHL that a player reassigned can not go to the AHL if CHL appropriate and they had to return to their native country? The only reason that the Avs have gotten away with him in the A is he wasn't playing on an NHL contract so he didn't have to be sent to Junior. He slid last year and could have slid this year giving the Avs three more years of control, staying on the Eagles playing against men on NA ice. He is playing on his NHL contract now so he can't go back to the Eagles.

Regarding your rule question, players are allowed to play in the AHL if they are European or were a NCAA pick. Even if a European played CHL, they are allowed to be sent to the AHL or the CHL at the NHL teams discretion. Buffalo did it with Alex Nylander, Toronto did it was Rasmus Sandin, etc. but it is legal to have them in the AHL

Not a fan of Greer, rather Sasha Mutala or Alex Beaucage if trading both CK and AG. Kaut and a 1 for CK, great but not a fan of Greer and a 3 for AG. Mutala, Kaut and a 1 for them 2 would be good with. Clearly a Rangers fan, but Greer is a 4th liner if he can stick in the NHL. Rangers forward depth pool is bad. Kravtsov, Henrikkson, Gauthier now and that’s really it. Rest are bottom 6 upside not really top 6 upside.
