Don't pay too much attention to the line combinations. They change all the time especially on a team like this. But yes, don't be surprised to see Byfield playing 16+ minutes on whatever team he ends up on. Also, the sens should be pretty competitive next year, don't be fooled.

Only once the Sens get a true #1C and a good starting goalie, they will never compete with a team like this...I love their youth but it will take a few years.

Jack Hughes averages 16 minutes a night. And 2019 is viewed as a very weak draft. On the other hand, 2020 is by far the strongest draft since 2015. If you think Lafreniere is going to be in the bottom 6 next year, that's an issue

Dude. you said about Alexis missing out on last years draft...so I was talking about him this year(If he was able to play).

He for sure will be top 6 next year.

I also only ever said anything about Byfield not making it...nothing about Alexis

He would not have been last year...Check out where Kaako, Hughes and Dach are playing...3rd line...

I think its fair to say you are underestimating the impact first overall picks have in their rookie season, let alone one of Lafreniere's pedigree
2018- Dahlin: 40 points as 18 year old defender, Calder Finalist
2017- Hischier: First Line Centre
2016- Matthews: 40 goals, calder winner
2015- McDavid: Over point per game, first line centre
2014- Ekblad: Calder winner
2013- Mackinnon: Calder winner

Kakko, Svechnikov, Laine, Eichel - the last 4 2nd overall picks. They all made the team and had solid rookie seasons and Byfield will be no different.

Yes...They had a team of vets to help them....Look at RNH and Yukapov...they were both 1st OA and they sucked as they were put in high pressure positions on a weak team...RNH is decent now but Yukapov's development was wasted
