it is possible but very tight. Hopefully he budges on the $5M a year. That will not happen and if it does, Detroit will have to move him. I see the Wings maxing out at $3M this year and maybe $3.75 next year. Then free agency.

If you use the second buyout window to buy out Howard, it will be possible. I wouldn't risk losing Mrazek...without him your goaltending is trash.
