I know. I know. This isn’t going to happen...but if I ran the Wild, and I could talk the owner into a full rebuild, I would sit down with Spurgeon and ask him to waive his NMC to go to the Oilers.

Tear the whole **** team down except Fiala, Kunin, and Ek. Keep Brodin if nobody is offering a top center for him. This team is abysmal against contenders.

I made a tweak to the trade...switched the 1st from 2021 to 2020 and added a 2021 2nd.

What is your value assessment of this deal?

I'd bet the Oilers say no, they are extremely high on Bouchard. I'd love him, though.

Spurgeon is a great player, but he is not going to be worth 7.5m when he is 36. The organization is very high on Bouchard and Lavoie looks pretty sharp. I do not care about losing Neal all that much honestly because of his cap hit.

My assessment is that this trade seems lop-sided in favor of Minneapolis. Not sure why Edmonton would have to also give up 2 high draft picks for Spurgeon and Ryan Donato.

The 2nd is probably not needed, especially if there isn’t as much value as I thought from taking Neal in the deal.

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love spurgeon but I personally wouldn’t do this deal a elc d man like Bouchard is worth so much more to this organization and I believe lavoie will be a absolute sniper. I don’t have any interest in this deal
