Description

The reason i think they may try this is Dermott, Sandin , and Ceci have played well enough to dress but are not top 4 dman. This allows keefe to keep the min the same but also if there is an injury in the game they are not moving a player to a position they are not ready for. Also, even if there is an injury in our forwards they have enough depth to play extremely well for yhe rest of the game.

By the way has played recently its a possibility but this way there is a buffer if sandin, Ceci, or dermott struggle in a game

That would help them the following game but not in the game being played. Anyways the point of the post is dressing 7 dman has really helped them right now and it may cause more mismatches like it is right now in the forwards forcing opponents to adjust every shift which as shown is hard for teams to do seeing in most cases certain dman go out for certain forwards to who goes out on the ice. So an example if only marner or nylander come out with Spezza and Clifford a certain dman come on but then it can force weaker dman to be out on the ice.

Well it's working right now and the beat 3 playoff teams in a row.

They only played one game with 7 D, Thursday's game against Florida. Muzzin got injured in the game against Tampa on Tuesday (no Marincin nor Rosen).
Liljegren didn't play against Vancouver.

The only game with 7 D was Florida and Liljegren only played 5 minutes.
