Description

Never know where players are going to be traded, but to sign the captain Allen and Bozak have to be moved. Trading both players gives the Blues almost 9.5mil, which is right around what is needed to keep Petro in STL. Ottawa needs a veteran goalie with 38yo UFA Anderson most likely moving on and the Sens have picks to use. The Yotes have been interested in Steen in the past and Bozak can fill a similar role, bringing veteran leadership and cup experience. He could be a replacement for Soderberg if they choose not to resign him.

This gets Petro signed, gives Thomas a solidified spot at the center position, and gives Kostin a spot to make the jump if the organization thinks he is ready for the NHL.

Agree with the players that will likely have to be moved, but I would give Scandella's money to Dunn on a longer term deal and use Mikkola, who is on a one way contract next year, in Scandella's spot.

I don’t think Dunn will fetch too much money this offseason, which will keep his years down. I could see the team resigning Scandella and trading Gunny. They have something good with the Scandella Parayko pairing and they might want to keep that. Gunny has been in and out and if there is a team that needs him, Mikkola can take his spot.
