Apparently NHL brass have realized they cannot just simply dole out the 5 million odd dollars in fines that the Coyotes have coming to them. After decades of millions of dollars of money poured into this debacle of a team the rest of the league might question why they are handing more welfare to a team only for it to be used to pay for fines!! The rest of the league should demand that the coyotes give up 3 players in the expansion draft and the rest of the league can protect one extra player. Any better ideas?

fine them a mid round pick and move on. doesnt need to be financial. gotta remember the league is an entertainment business. Why would you crush one of the floundering teams. In reality the league wants arizona to make playoffs and be somewhat successful similar to tampa. Florida is another team that needs a little sustained success.

If all it costs is a 4th round pick a year Toronto will happily run its own junior hockey academy.
