Description

Welcome to the tough decisions wrought by wasting cap space. First things first: Canucks need another 5v5 line that won’t get caved in. Benning wasn’t wrong to look to address the bottom six, he just picked absolutely the wrong players. In this lineup, everyone in the bottom-six except Gaudette and MacEwan are strong defensively and all but Rous are under 30. Green can go matchup hunting with his fourth line, as he does. Second: Bye Jake, you died so Markstrom could live. Also so I could launch Jay Beagle into the sun. Great guy though. Hear he’s #goodintheroom. Third: Bye Chris Tanev. Until these other toxic contracts are gone we have to go cheap somewhere. Checking forwards are less costly than D. Fourth: can we do Sven a solid? He’s not coming back, so let’s find him a home.
