Description
This is assuming the NHL uses a similar lottery format as the 2005 lockout season. I don’t think they will be it could be an option. Pittsburgh then ends up getting very lucky and wins first overall

Obviously very unlikely but I’m bored while self isolating lol

I like that you have Lafreniere playing with Sid rather than Sheary.

Google 2005 NHL draft lottery. Right now there is so much uncertainty around the draft Order if the season ends. This is just one theory. There are wayyyy more

Means nothing Detroit still gets the #1 overall pick not Pittsburgh. 2005 was before they implemented the draft lottery so the bottom team was ensured the 1st pick.

“ In 1995, the NHL Draft Lottery was introduced where only teams who had missed the playoffs could participate.”

But you’re right it wasn’t the entire 14/15 teams that missed the playoffs that had a chance. It’s changed a lot through the years. Obviously Detroit has a wayyyyyy better chance that pit. I’m just illustrating one possible option for the NHL draft but obviously no one knows forsure yet. I just made a very unlikely team with pit winning the lottery cause I was bored. There are So many unknowns currently
