if you're going to trade Dermott and Kerfoot I feel like one of them could be used in the Manson Trade.

Nylander will cost more than that he's doing much better in Chicago and has a lot more up upside than Engvall.

I agree one of Dermott or Kerfoot should/may have to be sent to Ducks for Manson.....I said that in my description.....the reason I did not do it as part of the trade was because I did not know if I would be able to fit them in someone or if they could be used as part of another trade...….The Nylander deal was made simply to shed a bit of cap from Engvall….who has not really produced since he got the new contract.....I am no expert on what Nylander is doing or worth but fans seem to think it would be fun to have the brothers together here...he's been traded twice already....I think him and Engvall are close with Engvall being bigger....perhaps a pick is included or again if Kerfoot is send to Ducks then Dermott gets sent to Hawks with Engvall

I think Liljegren could be retained and send Dermot to the ducks might have to include Kerfoot in that as well. But I think Engvall and a 2nd or Engvall and 3,4th would get it done!

ok so we have agreed on the Engvall deal but I don't agree that we get to keep Liljegren…..It was said the Ducks aren't keen on shopping Liljegren….so will take something extra to get them....and I believe that would be a young RD prospect....seeing as they are giving up a RD in Manson.....I would rather keep Liljegren...The Ducks don't need a LD like Dermott they have 3 capable LD.....and will wanna shore up the right side.....only other guy would be Holl but he is what...28...if I thought for a second we could keep Liljegren and send the Ducks Dermott,Kerfoot and Holl….i'd do that....might even send a pick of some sorts....but I dunno if that gets it done

I was just thinking value wise, didn't really think about what the Ducks would want. But IMO the value of Kerfoot, Dermott and a 2nd would easily get that deal done. If they don't want that because of their RHD situation maybe it will take Liljegren but I think the value is there with Dermott Kerfoot and a 3rd/4th for Manson

I hear ya...and as a Leaf fan I agree...but when I make a trade I also try to factor in the other team and if they would have any need for what we were sending....if Manson played left i'd say yes for sure cause they'd be getting a younger and cheaper D along with a 3C or a LW like Kerfoot is playing for Leafs....but again I based it on what the "experts" on tv and radio said saying Murray did not wanna shop....and sometimes for players like that ya have to pay more
